Really sad news to kick off the week as Johnny Wactor – the actor best known for appearing in nearly 200 episodes of ‘General Hospital’ – has been shot and killed during an attempted robbery in Los Angeles.
Wactor was shot and killed in downtown LA early on Saturday morning, according to TMZ. He was with a co-worker when they saw three men messing with Johnny’s car at 3AM, apparently trying to steal the catalytic converter.
The worst part is that Wactor didn’t even try to fight or stop them – but the men shot him anyway before running off.
Just such a senseless and unnecessary situation that didn’t need to end half as badly as it did. 3AM in the morning and trying to steal catalytic converters? Probably a bunch of crackheads who freaked out when they saw Wactor turn up and decided to shoot and kill him, despite the fact he did not physical confront them.
These murdering lowlives are now looking at murder charges over a $500 catalytic converter. I mean, I know downtown LA is a lawless dump but it’s still unbelievable that this sort of thing can happen to anyone, let alone a successful TV actor just going about his day.

RIP Johnny Wactor and condolences to his friends and family.
