Introducing the Batteriser (great name), a gadget that you clip over a battery that increases its life by over 800%.
It works by boosting the voltage of fading batteries up to 1.5V. Most batteries stop working in their appliances when the voltage drops below 1.5 even though there is still a lot of juice left in them – it’s been said that most batteries are thrown away when there’s still 80% of the power left in them. With the Batteriser, we’ll be able to utilise this power and make our batteries last longer and what’s even better is that it only costs £1.60 and so it’s a real bargain, especially as it’s reusable too.

CEO Bob Roohparvar explains more:
The Batteriser has boost circuitry that will boost the voltage from 0.6 volts to 1.5 volts and will maintain voltage at 1.5 — which is a brand new battery.
Perfect pretty much, right? Roohparvar is planning to launch the gadget later this year but for some reason is planning on crowd funding it through an IndieGoGo campaign, but surely this is the kind of device that could draw major investment from some big shot company as it’s potentially life changing for everyone who uses batteries which is pretty much very one in the world. I know they’re not as popular as they once were – I only really use them in my keyboard and TV remote now – but there’s still definitely a massive market out there for a device like this so it seems strange somebody isn’t biting this guy’s hand off equity in the company.
Of course, it’s not going to help us with the real bane of our existence right now – our mobile phone battery running out – but if this contraption ever gets mass produced then we’ll be laughing. Can’t wait.
