Chances are if you’ve spent any time on the internet in the past decade, then you probably will have come across the distracted boyfriend meme at least once in your life but I doubt you thought that there was more to it than just one photograph that was great to use in a variety of different situations.

Well, you would be completely wrong as it turns out that the distracted boyfriend meme was just the first in a series of stock photographs that tell an absolutely crazy story. I won’t say anything more so as to not spoil it, but I guarantee that this is not going to be going the way that you think it’s going to go.

Well well well. Looks like the distracted boyfriend got exactly what his deserved as his long suffering girlfriend ended up marrying his crush instead of him.
Fantastic ending but I’ve got a couple of questions:
- If the girlfriend ended up marrying the crush, why wasn’t she ever checking her out/vaguely looking at her when she was bopsing around?
- What the hell was the crush doing hanging around in the park (?) when the guy was proposing to his girlfriend? That’s some crazy timing.
- How did they fall in love so quickly?
- Why did anyone think that this story needed to be told by stock photographs and when did anyone ever think that someone would actually need these photos, especially the two proposal ones?
Yeah, no idea either. Still, pretty stoked that distracted boyfriend got exactly what he deserved, even if the circumstances are something I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get my head around. Wish I could track down the creator of those stock photographs and find out just what they were thinking, but doubt it will ever happen.
