People love beer, right? People also love fried chicken – that’s a given. But I don’t think the world has ever asked for a fried chicken infused beer.

Nevertheless, it’s happening whether we like it or not thanks to the Veil Brewing Company from Virginia, who teamed up with Evil Twin Brewing in New York to create the Fried Fried Chicken Chicken beer.
The drink contains a small amount of real fried chicken, although apparently it doesn’t actually taste like it. Well that’s relief. On the company’s Facebook page, it describes the pretty boring reason they decided to come up with this food/drink fusion:
The idea came to us after eating a significant amount of fried chicken at various establishments in our beautiful city of Richmond.
Oh… cool story bro.

Anyway, the beer itself actually sounds banging – it’s a double dry hopped IPA-style brew and it’s a whopping 8% alcohol by volume, so one of these badboys and you’re well on your way to getting smashed.
At the moment the company is only producing a limited quantity, but the story about it is out there now, so hopefully demand is so high that they end up making a lot more and we eventually get to try it. Fingers crossed.
