A man offering people in New York City’s Times Square “free hugs” was less than grateful after a Canadian tourist refused to tip him after accepting a hug and taking a photo with him.

Jermaine Himmelstein responded by punching her right in the face – as you do.
Police arrested Himmelstein on robbery and fraudulent accosting charges shortly after the incident on Thursday afternoon.
The victim was left with a black eye, cuts and bruises.
As Himmelstein was led out of a police station afterwards, he admitted to reporters that he “was aggressively asking for tips.” No shit mate.
This isn’t the first time for him either; he’s been arrested 16 time since 2012 as he keeps winding up in fracases with tourists.

Something tells me this guy isn’t quite qualified to be handing out free hugs in the middle of the busiest part of New York, but somehow he keeps going back and getting arrested all over again. ust a hopeless cycle really. You could of course argue that anyone who actually gives this guy a hug deserves everything they’ve got coming to them. Can guarantee this young Canadian won’t be hugging any more strangers any time soon anyway.
Clearly, you can’t trust anyone who gives out free hugs these days.
