After years of dodging questions as to why he wouldn’t step inside the ring with Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather has finally announced he’d like the fight to happen:
I suppose there’s only so many times you can listen to the boxing world call you a pussy before you finally give in. It still doesn’t explain why he kept avoiding the fight (though he claims it’s the other way around) — though one theory is that now that Pacquiao has suffered a couple of losses and clearly isn’t the fighter he was a few years ago, Mayweather is now confident he’ll be able to retain his undefeated streak.
Mayweather is calling for the $250 million superfight to go down in Las Vegas on May 2nd.
