I’ve been at a few parties that didn’t know when to end, let me tell you, but I’ve never encountered someone actually pulling a gun on everyone because they’re so desperate not to leave. I suppose I’ve never had the pleasure of attending a party in Florida though.

32-year-old Alana Annette Savell explained that she asked her guests three times to leave whilst brandishing the 22 calibre handgun after they had become drunk and noisy, but then opened fire at their feet when they still refused to get the hell out of there. One of the pair – a woman – was shot in the leg, whilst the man escaped unharmed. Unfortunately for Savell, she also managed to shoot her own boyfriend in the leg whilst firing. Whoops.

As if that isn’t enough to signal the end of the relationship, it gets even worse because Savell’s boyfriend was actually the one who suggested that she get the gun in the first place. A statement from the sheriff’s office said the following:

The suspect’s boyfriend stated to investigators that he has told his girlfriend that once someone is told to leave their property three times, she is to go get the gun and shoot it at the ground.

If that does not work, she is to shoot people in the leg.

I guess she was only following instructions? Probably needs to get down the shooting range though really because it sounds like her aim wasn’t so good when she performed the shooting.

The dumbest part of this whole story though is the fact that it wasn’t even that late when Savell asked the pair to leave her house in Panama City – it was only 1am. I mean what kind of a party finishes at 1am?

The wounded ended up in the emergency room to treat their wounds and told police what had happened. They then swooped to arrest Savell at around 2am on Monday morning. They found the handgun in the trash can of her house – great hiding place bro – and charged her with aggravated battery with a firearm.
