A 68-year-old millionaire over in Florida got a “terrible shock” after learning that his new bride was actually his granddaughter. Whoops.

The man and his 24-year-old wife, who is also an exotic dancer, live together in Miami after getting married just three months ago. However, when they were going through some old family photo albums, the girl discovered her own dad in one of the pictures. It’s like something out of ‘Oldboy’.

The wife said:

When I saw my father in that photo album, I just felt an overwhelming sense of despair.

Her dad was the millionaire’s child from his first marriage, which he had fled from a long time ago. And the wife had become estranged from her parents after getting pregnant as a teenager.

The pair met on a dating website and it sounds a lot like they suffered from the condition Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA), which occurs when two close relatives who have never met are reunited later as adults. Due to the genetic connection, they usually have an intense feeling of love and sexual desire towards each other. The man said:

I just felt strange when I saw her photos [on the site].

It was like a sense of déjà vu, but at the time I couldn’t figure out why she seemed so familiar.

If we’d never found out, we would’ve lived our lives happily together, and us being related shouldn’t change that.

Yeah but the court of law might have something to say about it. It’s pretty illegal to marry your relative, although they have decided to remain unnamed so you never know – they might have that ‘happily ever after’ ending after all (grimy).
