It really doesn’t seem that long since ‘Scream’ (or ‘Scream V’ whatever) showed up at the cinema – I just looked it up and yeah, it was just at the start of the year – but the guys behind it have already managed to film a sequel that will be coming to our screens at the end of March next year.

The sixth instalment of the series will see several cast members from all over the franchise return. Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega are back in their main roles from the last movie as Sam and Tara Carpenter, joined by fellow survivors Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding). Courtney Cox will also be showing up as Gale Weathers alongside ‘Scream 4’ character Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) who was confirmed to make it out of that bloodbath in the last movie.

Sadly, Neve Campbell won’t be showing up as Sydney Prescott as she didn’t feel as if she was offered enough money to reprise the role. Booooo. Hopefully the movie can still be good without her although I gotta say that I thought the last one was probably the worst in the series. Just isn’t the same without Wes Craven.

Anyhow, the just dropped a teaser for the movie that shows the action has moved from California over to New York City, where it looks like Ghostface will be just as lethal as he has been in the past. Take a look at that below:

Yeah I suppose they’re not really giving much away there other than the fact that it’s set in New York, but that’s why they call it a teaser trailer right? Only a few weeks until we see a real one and then only a couple more until the movie comes out. Do you still like scary movies?
