It’s been a while since I’ve been excited about a new instalment of the Terminator franchise, but Terminator 6 might just be the one that changes it thanks to the return of James Cameron.

Cameron might only be back in a producer role, but he is helping with the story and has been quoted as saying that this movie is the ‘direct sequel’ to Terminator and Terminator 2. This coupled with both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton returning as The Terminator and Sarah Connor respectively is gonna get me a little bit amped, I’m not gonna lie.
Check out the trailer below:
Yeah that is completely badass when Sarah Connor blows that Terminator away, but I’m slightly concerned that this movie seems to be more about Mackenzie Davis’ Terminator than Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sarah Connor. Not that I don’t like Mackenzie Davis or anything – she’s a major babe in Halt And Catch Fire – but I just kinda wanted to catch up with those characters, you know?
The good thing though is that it looks as if I don’t have to sit through all those other Terminator movies to get down with this one. Tim Miller knows what he’s doing when it comes to directing as well so this should be a slam dunk. We’ll see on October 23rd.
For more Terminator, remember when a mysterious six foot statue of the Terminator showed up in Birmingham? What was all that about?
