Harley Quinn has been a firm fan favourite ever since her first appearance in the DC Universe and this was only elevated by Margot Robbie’s performance in the Suicide Squad movie a couple of years ago, despite the movie being complete and utter dogshit.

It’s no real surprise then that DC want to capitalise on her popularity, but I’m not sure if anyone saw an adult cartoon about her breaking up with The Joker coming. This is exactly where they’ve gone though with the animated series set to premiere later this year on DC’s streaming service. It will see Harley break out on her own in an attempt to become a master criminal kingpin, fobbing The Joker off and teaming up with Poison Ivy and a host of other characters from Batman’s rogues gallery.

Wow that actually looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun hey? Great to see both Batman and The Joker being played as idiots when typically they’re the alpha males in every movie/TV show/comic book you see them involved in and Harley actually coming to the front as the badass femme fatale that she actually is. Great direction from the producers.
