Chris Morris’ name has been synonymous with UK satire for a very long time now, so to say that we’ve been awaiting the release of his new movie for some time would be somewhat of an understatement.

It looks like the wait is almost over though as the trailer for The Day Shall Come just dropped via Twitter and revealed that the movie will be released on October 11th this year. Take a look at that yourself below and read a synopsis of the movie underneath that:
Based on 100 true stories, the explosive new film from Chris Morris (Four Lions, Brass Eye) is an emotionally gripping, laugh out loud thriller that exposes the dark farce at the heart of the homeland security project: It is harder to catch a real terrorist than it is to manufacture your own.
Well that escalated quickly didn’t it?
OK I mean it does look a bit like Four Lions and it is a bit disappointing to see Morris tackling issues so similar to his debut, but the trailer makes it look like it’s going to be wildly surreal and hilarious and with Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show) and Sean Gray also teaming up with him, you can bet on this being an instant classic. Not too long to wait to finally see it as well either – get ready.
