It’s only a matter of months until the Playstation 5 is finally released, but it might be a while longer before we fully realise what the console is capable of achieving in terms of graphics and gameplay.

Epic Games are happy to give us a taste of this now though as they released a gameplay trailer of the new tech and revealed that they’re aiming to ‘achieve ‘photorealism that is on a par with CG or reality’ with the machine. To be fair, from the looks of the trailer it seems like they’re well on the way to making this happen as well.
Take a look below and see what you think:

Yeah I mean that’s pretty goddamn spectacular isn’t it? Hopefully it won’t make your Playstation 5 sound like an aircraft taking off whilst it’s running as well because that really would be the major bonus here.
However, it’s probably going to be a while before we see it like I suggested at the start of the article. The first batch of games on Playstation 5 will run on Unreal Engine 4 – still a step up from what we’ve got now – but Unreal Engine 5 is only going to be made available to developers at the start of 2021. Sounds like it will be worth the wait though.
