The whole country has been talking about the fact that someone died after their appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show and that the TV show has been suspended because of it, and now the fiancee of the deceased has decided to step forward and speak about their experience.

Jane Callaghan was engaged to Steve Dymond but revealed that they had split up after she supsected Steve of cheating on her. He failed the lie detector test on the show – although he insisted that he never cheated on her – and said that her life wasn’t worth living without her. We all know what happened next:
I know we split up a week ago but we were together for two years. He was still my fiancé. I still loved him.
We got engaged Christmas Day 2017. He was crying, the love was real. He was the most generous and loving person.
He was quietly struggling, and we didn’t know at the time. He cheated on me, I know he did. I can’t forgive but I just want him to be alive.
Steve texted me at before his death, saying: “I can’t live without you. I just wanted to come and see you. I just wanted to say sorry before I go. My life is not worth living without you.
When we split in February he went to the doctor and was put on anti-depressants but he never took any. It was all for my benefit because I said he needed help.
When we went back the doctor said, ‘You look fine and happy.’ Steve said he wasn’t depressed and said we were trying to work it out. Then we paid for that letter to get on to the show.
The people at The Jeremy Kyle Show were brilliant. They were there when he needed help. They were really persistent in offering him help. Steve liked to be a comedian and he could be very funny. He liked the attention.

Well if there was any doubt about his cause of death, I think Jane’s interview probably makes it slightly clearer. RIP Steve Dymond.
It’s interesting that Jane has publicly praised the people who work at The Jeremy Kyle Show though as most people seem to be saying that they’re complete scummers that are nothing but exploitative of guests that appear on the show. Dunno if she’s actually telling the truth there or got a swift backhander so that people don’t come down on it even harder in the coming days resulting in its cancellation, but I guess we’ll have more idea in the coming days.
For more of the same, check out this interview with Steve’s landlady. She’s definitely blaming Jeremy Kyle for his death.
