I suppose that when owners overfeed their pets, it can be classed as a sort of animal cruelty can’t it? Well, if that’s the case then all of these animals’ owners are 100% cruel fuckers.
There’s a new TV show due to be aired pretty soon and it’s sort of like that The Biggest Loser show where all those fat bastards try to lose weight while the baying public watch in hilarity as the fatties sweat, cry, collapse, get the shakes for soppingly greasy burgers while they’re munching on some rank zero-calorie meal. The show coming out, though, doesn’t involve humans – it involves pets. Apparently, morbidly obese pets have become a real problem in Britain over the past few years so The Pet Fit Club (geddit?) is using a The Biggest Loser-type show to try to get the fattest pets they’ve seen to shed the lard.
The competition involves 18 animals: 11 dogs, 5 cats and 2 rabbits. All of these animals together weigh a ridiculous 335 pounds – the equivalent of 380 cans of dog food. Or Michelle McManus. An example of how fat the animals are on there is a cat that weighs 20.5 pounds and a dog who weighs a, quite frankly, horrendous 93 pounds. Instead of a treat, their owners must have given them about 10 bowls of gravy or something. It’s disgusting.
The winner of the competition will be announced in September and they’ll win the awesome prizes of a year’s worth of pet food (kind of nullifies the point of the show) and a pet-friendly holiday at a shitty Four Seasons hotel.
Should be essential viewing. Here’s a video of the fat as fvck finalists:
