11. Daveigh Chase

You might not know her by face or name, but Daveigh Chase plays Chihiro, the stressed out lass from Spirited Away with pigs for parents. Next to ‘Princess Mononoke’ (and possibly ‘Ponyo’, thanks to Disney’s marketing team), ‘Spirited Away’ is probably the most well-known and loved Ghibli film out there. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s just the vibe I get.

But Daveigh is no newbie when it comes to classics – and is accountable for Samara from ‘The Ring’, Lilo from… ‘Lilo & Stitch’ (duh) and Donnie’s kid sister Samantha in ‘Donnie Darko’.

12. Saoirse Ronan

Arrietty is a borrower, and she lives with her parents, and starts talking to boys because they told her not to. It’s basically a story of puberty and teenage rebellion with everything blown way out of proportion, literally. You’ll know Saoirse from films such as ‘Hanna’ and ‘The Lovely Bones’ but joins the Ghibli club as the lead role in ‘The Secret World of Arrietty.’
