4. Recycled Cooking Oil
This practice has varying levels of gag reflex – the lesser being the use of animal hairs from foxes, rats, pigs and sometimes bird feathers being boiled down into cooking oil and distributed. At the other end of the scale are reports of people using shite offal like chicken anuses and discarded animal skins. A slew of guys got caught only a few months ago trying to flog 5,000 tons of the stuff. There’s even been reports of local food companies making profits in excess of £6 million from the selling of potentially poisonous and harmful oil.
