When it comes to television horror shows, it looks as though people can’t get enough of Evan Peters and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

Dahmer has been the subject of a couple of movies and documentaries in the past couple of years – most notably Zac Efron’s ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’ in 2020 – and Peters has been in every series of ‘American Horror Story’, so it probably seemed like a no brainer for AHS creator Ryan Murphy to call on him to star in his new Dahmer inspired Netflix show. The series will be called ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ (kinda see what they did there) and is currently being developed by Murphy for Netflix, although few details about the show are currently available.

There’s no release date for this one yet, but what we do know is that it will look into Dahmer’s many victims and also spotlight how the police managed to miss labelling him as a prime suspect many times. Apparently there are going to be at least ten examples of how their incompetence led to them nearly catching him but missing the mark or letting him go without a charge, which sounds kinda of funny to begin with but also more horrific and awful when you actually break it down and think about it. Sure we’ll probably be too busy being entertained to think too much about that aspect of it when it finally does drop though.
For more of the same, check out when Jeffrey Dahmer’s childhood home was available to rent for the GOP convention back in 2016. Wonder if anyone actually got it?
