It looks like crusader costumes have joined alcohol, OneLove arm bands, and anything remotely gay as being banned from World Cup matches in Qatar, after this clip of two England fans in full get-up being escorted way went viral:
Qatari authorities have started banning England fans from wearing crusader costumes in stadiums.

As the Tweeter says, this is due to crusader history of rape, slaughter and occupation of Arab lands. Yeah OK it was a 1,000 years ago, but I guess they’re still not over it. Although to be fair I’m pretty sure any stadium in the world would stop you from bringing swords and shields into their grounds at the very least. Surprised they even managed to get that gear into the country tbh. Did they legimitately travel to Qatar on horseback/ships, crusader style?
One of the Crusaders did manage to sneak a quick interview with TalkTV, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time:

To be fair, I guess they heard Qatar was stuck in the middle ages and thought they’d follow suit. Meanwhile, there are calls for the USA to be banned from the World Cup completely after this disgraceful chant they go going the other night.
