You would think that being the child of a billionaire meme lord was the greatest privilege ever, but apparently not in the case of one of Elon Musk’s 8 children who has this week filed legal documents to change her name and gender identity.

According to Sky News, Xavier Alexander Musk, who recently turned 18, says she now wants to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson and to be recognised as female. Vivian lists her reason for the name change as “Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.” Which has to be a brutal thing for any dad to hear.

Vivian’s mother is Justine Wilson, who divorced Musk in 2018. Not sure what her problem with her dad is exactly but given she’s a transgender 18 year old I’m guessing she doesn’t appreciate him vocalising his support for the Republican party recently. It’s probably a bit awkward saying things like ‘eat the rich’ when your dad is literally the richest man on the planet too, so at least now by changing her name it’ll be harder for people to figure it out.

I wonder that now she’s changed her name, gender and wants no association whatsoever with her biological father, whether she’s also removed herself from his fortune and future will? No choice but to respect it if she’s genuinely made that sacrifice IMO.

Can’t wait for X AE A-XII to grow up and have opinions on his name too. Imagine if he grows up and it’s the Musk part of his name he wants to change too? Peak times for Elon.
