Elon Musk is known as the Tony Stark futurist of reality, so it’s no surprise that he’s coming out with outlandish statements like how he’s going to go and live on Mars even though there’s a good chance he might die.

Musk was speaking in an interview that was broadcast on HBO last night where he decided to say the following:
I know exactly what to do.
I’m talking about moving there.
We think you can come back but we’re not sure.
Your probability of dying on Mars is much higher than on Earth.
It’s gonna be hard. There’s a good chance of death, going in a little can through deep space.

Sounds like he’s got it all figured out there hey doesn’t it? Apparently Musk is planning on sending a spaceship there later this year and then expects to begin colonising the place, with anyone whose bank balance is in the red allowed to post up there and try and set up their own business, as Mars will need everything from iron foundries, pizza joints and nightclubs.
I mean I’m not Elon Musk and I guess I don’t know what he has up his sleeve but I find it kinda hard to believe that he’s going to be able to set all this up within a year considering he can’t even get all the Teslas that people have ordered out to them. Hope it does happen though as it would be absolutely fascinating to see, that’s for sure.
For more of the same, check out how he’s talking about how we’re living in a computer simulation. Believable.
