The much-anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier is set to go down on January 23rd, with Poirier appearing on comedian Theo Von’s podcast the other night to hype the fight.

At one point, Theo Von asks Poirier if he would kill Conor McGregor to take the victory. The question caught Poirer just a little bit by surprise:
That question caught Dustin off guard #UFC257 pic.twitter.com/T2VJykc3wU

What a clip. A lot of people are saying Theo Von’s question was inappropriate, especially in a sport where something like that could genuinely happen, in a worst case scenario type situation. But come on! He’s just asking the questions that a lot of people want to know the answers to!
Either way, it was a funny exchange.
Theo: Would you kill him?
Dustin: I don’t wanna – uh, I, uh, I mean, I don’t want to.
Theo: Yeah.
Dustin: I don’t wanna kill anybody.
Theo: I feel you man.
Dustin: Yeah, that’s not a goal.
Theo: Yeah that’s not a goal! Okay! I like that. I respect that bro. You don’t wanna be THAT guy.
Dustin: No. I don’t wish that on anybody.
Theo: Yeah, you’re right man, I shouldn’t have even asked that.
If that didn’t make you laugh, you need to lighten up a little bit. You can check out the full interview below but be warned – Dustin Poirier is actually a likeable dude. Gonna make it tougher to watch when McGregor KO’s him for the second time in a couple weeks.
P.S. If you’re planning on illegally streaming the fight, keep in mind Dana White’s comments from last week. Sounds like the UFC isn’t messing around when it comes to illegal streaming sites in 2021.
