US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will not deport Prince Harry amid a legal battle over the Duke of Sussex’s immigration status, claiming the royal already has “enough problems with his wife.”

When asked by the NY Post if he would get involved in Harry’s immigrations dramas, Trump said:

“I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

The trouble over Harry’s visa comes after he admitted to taking cocaine in his autobiography Spare. The Duke has since faced a lengthy legal battle over whether he lied about drug-taking on his application.

You would think a guy as petty as Trump would jump at the chance to revoke Harry’s visa and have him deported from the country, but I guess he’s taking the high ground on this one (well, as much of the high ground as it’s possible to take while also insulting the man’s wife).

In the same interview, Trump also said Harry was a “great young man”, even if he does clearly despite Meghan Markle. During his previous run as President, Trump said the following about Meghan during a White House press briefing:

 “I’m not a fan of hers. I would say this – and she has probably heard that – I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he’s going to need it.”

During an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News in 2021, Trump also said this about Meghan:

 “I’m not a fan of hers. I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think some day he will regret it. I think Harry’s been used and been used terribly. I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen. She is trying do things that I think are very inappropriate.”

No love lost there then. It doesn’t seem like Trump particularly dislikes Prince Harry (he was a close, personal friend of his uncle’s after all), but he clearly hates Meghan Markle’s guts and is looking forward to seeing how their marriage plays out. Still, at least Harry’s wife seems to enjoy being with him in public. Which is probably more than can be said for Melania…
