All anyone’s talking about this week is the gorilla that was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo after a dumb-ass child wandered into its enclosure, prompting zoo officials to take pre-emptive action and shoot the gorilla dead.
I’m sure you’ve been itching to know Donald Trump’s take on the situation. Well fortunately CNN asked that question earlier today and Trump answered it.
Would Donald Trump have killed the gorilla? https://t.co/Im5ig7cqp0 pic.twitter.com/87BIbSWQwC

He said:
I think it’s a very tough call. It was amazing because there were moments with the gorilla — the way he held that child, it was almost like a mother holding a baby. Looked so beautiful and calm.
And there were moments where it looked pretty dangerous. I don’t think they had a choice. It’s too bad there wasn’t another way. But I thought it was so beautiful to watch that powerful, almost 500-pound gorilla the way he dealt with that little boy.
Credit where it’s due – that’s pretty much the most perfect answer you could give as a Presidential candidate. Would he have killed the gorilla? Well, he wouldn’t have had much of a choice, but if he DID have a choice then he wouldn’t kill the gorilla because the gorilla looked beautiful and calm. Boom – what an answer. Pretty much satisfies every stance on the matter.
Meanwhile, #gorillalivesmatter has been trending and some of the Tweets are pretty damn funny:
I know one person who ain’t laughing though – the woman getting rinsed on social media because she’s been mistaken for the child’s mum.
