One of the key points of action of the current Tory government is to cut most of our public services so that we can reduce the budget deficit, and although this might be a good idea in theory in reality it completely sucks because it’s cutting a lot of public services that people honestly do rely upon.
As such, most people in the country are pretty pissed off with Davey Cameron, and now it seems that even his own mother has turned against him. She signed a 38 Degrees petition which called for the end to Oxfordshire County Council plans to close 44 children’s centres in the area. The Tory council hopes to save $8million through this scheme. The centres have been described as ‘a lifeline to new parents who rely on locally accessible advice and support at a time when it is most needed.’

81 year old Mary Cameron did admit to signing the petition when interviewed by the Mirror, but didn’t want to comment any further. It’s not the first time in her career that she’s opposed members of her own family – during her time as a magistrate she actually passed judgement on a number of Greenham Common protesters which included her sister.
Basically sounds like a bit of a bitch, but if she can talk some sense into David Cameron then maybe all won’t be lost with this Tory government. It seems unlikely that anybody can do that though, so here’s that picture of him eating a hot dog with a knife and fork again. Never forget.
