I’ve never actually considered that it might be difficult for a conspiracy theorist to get a date because hardly anyone would want to listen to the nonsense that they’re spouting half the time, but apparently it’s a big enough problem for a dating site specifically for conspiracy theorists to be set up in Germany.

The site is called SchwurbelTreff and requires you to declare what conspiracy theories that you believe in when you set up your account with the usual stuff like coronavirus, QAnon, and the New World Order all featuring prominently. Apparently the site has over 1500 users in its first month of operation which seems pretty impressive to be honest.
The site was set up by a guy called Captain Future, who is a well known German conspiracy theorist that advocated against lockdowns to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Here’s what he had to say about the dating site:
You wouldn’t understand each other [when] you look at the world so differently.
The different opinions on Corona have broken many old friendships and relationships, but often also created new ones.
Lateral thinkers will soon be mainstream’ because ‘no one wants to admit they were wrong’.
The division will be over when the truth is mainstream and those responsible have been brought to justice.
Er what? Does that really have that much to do with the dating site or is it just Captain Future babbling on about more conspiracy theories? More of the same I guess.
To be honest, I imagine that most of the people meeting each other on this site would just excitedly babble on about stuff they’ve read on the internet before making out and then become trapped in a psychosis of their own making with the other person. I suppose that would have eventually happened anyway so cool of Captain Future to help speed it up and get it rolling. Sign me up.
For more of the same, check out this conspiracy theory about Jim Carrey admitting that he was a member of the Illuminati. Of course that actually happened.
