I think it’s fairly well documented that Danny Dyer was leaving ‘Eastenders’ at some point this year – I had heard about it at least – but I’m not sure if any of us thought that his final scenes would be as dramatic as the pictures that you see below would have you believe.

The photographs show Danny jumping off the white cliffs of Dover in pursuit of a speeding car that has also gone over the edge containing his estranged wife Linda Carter and lover Janine Butcher. Here’s what an ‘Eastenders’ insider (try saying that five times quickly) had to say about the final scenes:

Bosses are staying tight lipped about the exact nature of Danny’s exit but there’s no way his character would go out without a bang.

Exact details are being kept top secret but the show is pulling out all the stops to make it an explosive ending, which will no doubt leave the residents of Walford reeling.

Well those pictures do look pretty wild don’t they? I’ll be honest and say that the only time I ever watch ‘Eastenders’ is over Christmas and usually you don’t need to really know what’s been happening for that Christmas episode to still be complete banger, but this one really looks like it could truly be one that we might remember forever. I’ll definitely be tuning in. RIP Mick Carter??
