I guess as a cockney acting legend there’s only so many people you can glass in the face or kick out of your pub before you look to do something different.

In a role I’m sure no one ever expected him to take, Danny Dyer plays a drag queen in the new Lucy Rose music video for ‘Nebraska’. He plays someone who’s finally putting his fears to one side in order to realise his dream of performing. Track’s pretty dope too if you ask me.

Who knew he had it in him eh? Not just your stereotypical cockney tough guy.

Lucy Rose said of the collaboration:

I remember one day seeing on Twitter that Danny Dyer had started following me and being chuffed, I had no idea it would lead to this. I only reached out to him after I saw him put out a few tweets talking about my music and encouraging people to listen to it, which blew my mind.

I’m beyond proud of what we have made and it’s truly amazing that we got to make this video. Every single person who worked on this did it for free to try and make something beautiful that tells an important story.

I’m so grateful to the awesome Danny Dyer for saying yes when I sent over this mental idea and for believing in me and this song. He’s a huge inspiration and an amazing person to work with.

Danny added:

I was honoured to be asked by the maestro that is Lucy Rose to be part of her video. When I got the treatment through I was overwhelmed.

An even bigger legend than we thought. Big up Danny Dyer every time.
