Everyone has been fairly invested in the story of ISIS bride Shamima Begum and her wish to be allowed to return to the UK for the birth of her child over the last few days, with most people thinking that due to her terrorist past she should be denied her requests.

However, one person who reckons she should be allowed back into the county may come as a surprise. Danny Dyer was appearing on Good Morning Britain and for some reason felt compelled to wade into the debate, arguing that she was young and naive and should be allowed the chance to learn from her mistakes:
She is still a young girl. Maybe we can learn from it.
I feel she needs a chance, maybe to explain what was going on.
Maybe we can understand a little bit more about how they got to her and how she felt it was the right move to jump on a plane and leave this country at 15 years of age. I don’t understand what’s gone on there.
Who’s there to guide her, talk to her, why is she so lost within her soul?
I mean I suppose he has got a point there – how many of us can say we never did something completely and utterly stupid when we were 15? Sure, hardly any of us jumped on a plane to Syria, but I suppose the point is that people make mistakes and you should forgive them and move on from them. Running away to Syria to join ISIS might be too big of a mistake for people to get over though, just saying.
