I’ve never been a huge ‘Ghostbusters’ fan – although I do remember liking the cartoon when I was a kid – but I know that it’s a much loved franchise out there and grown adults are almost certainly going to lose their shit when Dan Ackroyd shows up at the end of the latest trailer for the new movie reprising his role as Dr Raymond ‘Ray’ Stanz.

Yeah I know I said I wasn’t that big a fan of the original movies, but that trailer really does look like it’s going to hit the spot with those that love the franchise. Sure, some people will see that as cashing in on nostalgia or whatever – and that seems to be what a lot of the angry Twitter mob are saying – but when a movie gives people exactly what they want it doesn’t have to reinvent the wheel, does it? Just let it happen.
For more of the same, check out when the female ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot became the most disliked video on YouTube of all time. Bit of a strong reaction hey?
