Everyone has been talking about ‘Rick And Morty’ creator Justin Roiland’s cancellation over the past couple of weeks after creepy DMs that he sent to multiple underage girls online were posted online, but it turns out that this wasn’t too much of a surprise to anyone that was associated with the guy over the last few years.

THR have compiled a new report detailing just how depraved his behaviour was on ‘Rick And Morty’ and how he effectively hadn’t been involved with the show for quite a few years now because of it via speaking to multiple former colleagues. Here’s what the report had to say:
According to multiple sources, who would speak only on the condition of anonymity, Roiland once paraded a high-profile adult film star through the Rick and Morty writers’ room, openly discussed threesomes and was involved in at least one instance of alleged sexual harassment during the show’s third season, notably its first with female writers.
More recently, multiple sources say that Roiland, other than voice work, has not had any meaningful creative presence on any of the series that bear his name. In fact, many of his former colleagues say they haven’t heard from him in years, and when they have, it’s been unpleasant.
They note, too, that he hasn’t been on speaking terms with his Rick and Morty co-creator, Dan Harmon, for multiple seasons, and a substantial number of staffers on that show as well as Solar Opposites and Koala Man have never actually met Roiland, even over Zoom.
Sounds like a grade A tool, although it’s still kinda weird that Adult Swim/Cartoon Network/Hulu or whoever still employed him to create loads of zany TV shows and do voiceover work but just banned him from the office because of his problematic behaviour. Hope someone calls them out about that in the future, but I doubt anything will happen. Only becomes a problem when they start messing around with underage girls. Typical.
Anyway, goodbye Justin Roiland. ‘Rick And Morty’ and everything else he was involved in will continue with other people taking over his voice roles, so it’s no big deal that he’s out of the picture really. Good riddance to the creep.
