Have you ever contemplated what would happen if you emptied a bottle of water over the side of a dam?

No, me neither, but now I’m faced with the question I would assume that the same thing would happen anywhere I chose to pour a bottle of water out – the water would simply fall out of the bottle onto the floor. Or the bottom of the dam in this case.
Anyway, I’m completely and utterly wrong about that. Check this out:
Wow. People have accused it of being fake, but it turns out it’s 100% real because of science. Here’s the explanation:
The structure of the dam creates an upward draft that makes water actually defy gravity.
Instead of travelling downwards, it is carried upwards by the wind.
You have to see it to believe it! We didn’t know just how powerful it was until we experimented and poured water over the edge.
Knowledge. Next time you’re visiting a dam, make sure you pack your water bottle so you can impress your friends with that nifty little trick.
