A birthday celebration in a curry house descended into a massive bust up when a group of 22 men clashed with staff at the Shozna Indian restaurant in Kent.

The brawl has landed a father, David Pettett, and his two sons Tom and Jamie, with a £52,000 bill.
It’s like a Poundland version of Reservoir Dogs.
Titled in court ‘The Battle of Vindaloo’, the mass brawl was caught on CCTV footage. Restaurant owner Jamal Ahmed said the footage resembled a wild west movie. Punches and kicks were thrown by the diners, while the waiters, chef and kitchen staff had to arm themselves with pots, pans and a broom to drive the gang out. You can’t make this shit up.

David, Tom and Jamie were all charged with affray but were cleared from court earlier this week. Nonetheless, Jamal intended to serve them a bill of £52,000 for damages whether they were convicted or not.
Apparently the group was there to celebrate Jamie’s 31st birthday. However, the men decided to leave after their first drinks and poppadoms as they accused staff of being ‘rude’. The altercation descended into the mass fight you can see in the video. Jamal says that the charge will cover the loss of money made that night as well as damage to chairs, tables and other items in the restaurant.
Imagine that – you’re going out for a nice delicious curry dinner and you wind up with a £52,000 bill. The Battle of Vindaloo will go down in history as the most expensive 31st birthday meal of all time. I hope they got some complimentary drinks with that.
Now let’s take a moment to appreciate the 100 man brawl that broke out in Wetherspoons.
