Looks like Craig David has his Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays free these days after admitting in an interview with Louis Theroux this week that he’s been celibate for over a year.
42-year-old Craig explained on the Louis Theroux podcast that casual sex just doesn’t do it for him anymore, and he’s gone on a sex strike in order to save his love life:
“I realised that me not having healed my own issues meant I was never in a position to be open to someone else. So I realised I had to pull back from all of this and this has been the past couple of years really.
Which does mean not outwardly going on dates, the sexual interactions are going to have to stop now, just cut that off.”
When Louis asked if that meant that he’d been abstaining from a sex for a while, he replied:
“For quite a while now. Maybe a year or so.
I need a real relationship now, this is not about looking beautiful, this is not about the aesthetics.”
Wow, so mature. Although while it’s no longer about the aesthetics for Craig David, he did say he wanted to find someone who he can have ‘great deep conversations’, ‘amazing sex’ and ‘laugh like crazy’ with, so I guess he’s maintaining some kind of standards. Never forget:
