I find it somewhat bizarre that someone could open a crisp packet with no actual crisps in it because surely you could sort of tell that from the outside texture of the packet itself, but this couple were so outraged about it that they’ve decided to go to the papers and moan about it.

29 year old Naomi Mulumbala and her 31 year old partner Ralph were all ready to Netflix and chill with some snacks the other night but their plans were scuppered when they tried to open a packet of Walkers Prawn Cocktail crisps and there was only one single crisp inside it. Not exactly empty there is it, but I suppose you’re not getting anywhere near what you paid for are you?

Things got even worse though when they opened up another packet – they had bought a six pack of prawn cocktail crisps between them like a couple of weirdoes – and that didn’t have any crisps in at all. What a nightmare. Netflix and chill totally ruined.

Here’s what Naomi had to say about their experience:

It had just been April Fool’s day so for a bit we were convinced this must’ve been one of walkers promotions, but it must’ve been some ridiculous mistake.

People always jokingly complain about the crisp and air ratio in Walkers packets but this was taking it to an extreme.

We had Netflix on and whilst Ralph went to get us a snack, he started shouting my name, saying I won’t believe this.

He started shaking the bag and there was one crisp in there, so I started filming and when we saw one singular crisp we were in stitches.

When we got the second packet that was just air, we started thinking this must be a joke right?

It was too good not to post online.

The next day I picked up a bag of Quavers, I wasn’t risking it again.

It’s left me with trust issues with my favourite flavour of crisp.

When I picked up the bag of air, I was over it, it had gone too far.

Lol ‘trust issues’ OK pal calm yourself down. It’s quite clearly just a dumb mistake on the part of Walkers and it would be even more unilkely to happen if you picked up prawn cocktail crisps again I feel, but you milk it for all its worth and get some money off the papers.

Hope you’re ready to always be known as ‘prawn cocktail trust issues girl’ for the rest of your life now though. Viral fame comes with a price.

For more of the same, check out this teenager getting £10,000 for discovering a rare puffy Doritos crisp. Surprised Walkers didn’t offer these guys any prize money.
