It’s always a fun time when someone suggests doing shots at the bar, but I don’t think this is something that should ever be replicated when you’re hanging out with a baby. Why would anyone think it’s a good idea to get babies involved with doing shots?

I can’t explain the rationale behind that myself, but nevertheless one couple from Dover thought that it was a marvellous idea  and even decided to film themselves giving their daughter a shot of vodka and post it on social media. Did they think that people were going to think that this was funny? Or cute? It’s bad enough even doing it in the first place but then to share it with the world? Truly unhinged behaviour.

Unsurprisingly – to me at least – the couple were reported to the police and subsequently arrested. Here’s what a spokesperson from Kent Police had to say about the incident:

Upon attending, officers were made aware of concerns for a child at an address in the area.

Actions were taken to safeguard those involved and a man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of child cruelty later the same day.

They have since been bailed and an investigation is ongoing.

Social services have also been informed, but it’s thought that the baby is still residing with her awful parents at this point. Hopefully it’s only a matter of time before they’re separated though, as I’m fairly sure any investigation will just take a look at that footage and instantly declare them unfit to be parents. What the hell were they thinking putting that on the internet? Mind boggling.
