A wanted fugitive is on the run, and he goes by the name of Cookie Monster.
Last week a giant gold cookie was stolen from the headquarters of a large cookie manufacturer based in Germany. The Bahlsen headquarters in Hannover houses a large statue on top of one of the pillars that is attached to the side of the building, which was home to the 100 year old 44lb golden cookie until it was stolen last week. With no obvious leads in this rather unusual case of cookie theft, the following ransom note was sent to the cookie manufacturers with a photo of the suspect attached. The suspect is indeed, the Cookie Monster.
The ransom note reads “I have the cookie! And you want it”, with the demands for a safe return of the golden cookie including that a batch of chocolate cookies be sent to the local children’s hospital, and that the 1000 Euro reward that’s being offered by the cookie manufacturers is donated to the local animal shelter.
Obviously wanting to clear his name, the real life Cookie Monster has come out to state his innocence:
