Conor McGregor hasn’t fought professionally in years, was recently found liable for sexual assault, and is a shadow of his former self these days. Still, the playboy lifestyle does not come cheap (and neither do lawyers), so it’s no surprise that he’s agreed to fight Logan Paul all the way over in India in what is sure to be a ridiculously massive payday for both of them.

If you’re wondering who the Ambani family is, they’re a family worth over $100 billion who routinely fly out A-list celebrities and performers to put on private gigs for them in India, like the time they gave Justin Bieber the easiest $10 million of his life to perform at a ‘pre-wedding’ party.

If what Conor McGregor tweeted is true, it looks like they’re now taking a page out of the Saudis’ book by putting on a big time boxing event, which McGregor will headline against Logan Paul, who’s been busying himself with the WWE recently.

You just never know with Conor McGregor, though. He literally could have made all this up as some kind of power play with the Dana White and the UFC, who would love for him to return for at least one more fight in 2025 (if he can stay fit/sober, that is).

It is interesting that McGregor claims he’ll fight Logan Paul first, and then return to the Octagon. Does that seem realistic to anyone? I’m pretty sure that once an ageing MMA fighter decides to fight a Paul brother, then they’re basically done as far as legitimate competition goes. Then again, if McGregor manages to KO Logan Paul in India and look good doing it, then who knows?

Well either way, here’s hoping this fight does NOT happen and that McGregor’s “biggest comeback in sports history” goes down in the Octagon, if anywhere at all. We all know what a sham this boxing events always turn out to be.
