Despite the fact he allegedly beat someone up in a bar over the weekend in Dublin, Conor McGregor has been tweeting away like nothing ever happened and this has culminated in him getting a in a spot of bother with WWE legend Chris Jericho.

The exchange started when McGregor congratulated Ireland’s Becky Lynch on becoming what he termed the first ever WWE Champ Champ after she won the main event of WrestleMania and claimed both the Raw and Smackdown women’s titles. Of course, some users were quick to correct him upon this by explaining that Chris Jericho was the first ever Champ Champ after he won both the WCW and WWE championships back during the classic Invasion storyline back in 2001.
Obviously one thing led to another and this culminated with McGregor and Jericho firing shots at each other:

Thanks for the explanation of the rules Champ Champ. But Both belts were won under the same organization, on the same night. Now quit being a mark and move along, junior. https://t.co/2HYkmdAI5i

Well, this could possibly be a contender for the dumbest feud in history considering it’s literally over the definition of the Champ Champ, but if McGregor was to come to the WWE I don’t doubt that a feud with Jericho would be a great way to get him started. Both of them are absolutely killer on the mic and could get into some mad slanging matches and we all know that Jericho is willing to do the job, so Conor would have a nice big victory from his introduction to the WWE as well.
Having said that, I doubt that McGregor is going to be entering the WWE anytime soon as he’s almost certainly going to have another crack at Khabib eventually. Maybe he and Jericho can keep this feud going for another couple of years though so we’ll really want to see it when it finally happens.
