‘Come Dine With Me’ has been on so long now that pretty much everyone knows and loves it. But in the last decade that it’s been broadcast, nobody has ever been removed halfway through the show, despite some absolutely monumental rows.

That all changed towards the end of last week though when the show was up in Central Scotland and a 40-year-old record producer named Rory Nicol became the first ever contestant to be removed during the competition process. To make the incident even more bizarre, no real reason was given for his dismissal saying that it was due to, “incidents that happened away from the dinner party”:
Weird. Rory had apparently already been a bit of a prick during the show, which caused the other guests to score his night pretty badly. He described himself as ‘cocky’ and ‘arrogant’ and then proceeded to get into a particularly heated debate with another contestant about which member of Take That was the most talented – he was rooting for Gary Barlow.
Apparently the argument became so intense that another guest had to step in and tell them to calm down. Wish there was a clip of that somewhere because it sounds great.
As it stands though, we still don’t know what Rory did to get himself banned from the competition. We might find out soon though as the story seems to be going viral and someone has apparently submitted a Freedom Of Information Act request to get the info. Really can’t wait to find out what he did as it must have been completely outrageous/out of order given how nobody has ever been expelled before from the show.
