A group of climbers had to be rescued from the top of a mountain at the Lake District after they got so stoned that they couldn’t get back down.

The four climbers got stranded at the top of the 3,209ft Scafell Pike – the highest peak in England. They managed to make it to the top, that bit was fine.

But unfortunately they smoked so much on their journey that they found themselves “incapacitated”. Lol. Cumbria Police had to launch a mountain rescue via air ambulances.

Apparently, the Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association, which was part of the rescue operation, said that call outs like this are now so common that it’s “becoming a joke”.
I mean, I can’t say I’m not guilty of doing the same. If ever you’re out in the countryside or anywhere to enjoy nature, there’s nothing like enjoying a bifta while you’re at it. The two go hand-in-hand although unfortunately for these guys, they don’t when you’re attempting to climb the highest peak in the country. What a bunch of numpties.
