I’ve said a few times in the past few weeks how annoying some of the stunts that climate protesters have pulled recently have been, but this one has to be the dumbest one yet.

Over in Wolfsburg, a bunch of people form a group called Scientific Rebellion (v cool name) decided to glue themselves to cars in the luxury Volkswagen showroom. They were determined to stay there as long as possible until achieving their objective of a meeting with CEO Oliver Blume.
That doesn’t sound that bad actually does it? Staff let the protesters continue and didn’t really complain, but problems started to mount at home time when they turned off all the lights and heating on their way out.
One protester took to Twitter to vent his frustration:
.@VW told us that they supported our right to protest, but they refused our request to provide us with a bowl to urinate and defecate in a decent manner while we are glued, and have turned off the heating. People in support can’t get out of the building. 2/ pic.twitter.com/YZuuiww5Q4

These are our demands to the Volkswagen CEO, adapted from our general demands. (1) support introduction of speed limits on German motorways; (2) condone bonds held by @VW from Global South; (3) declare infeasibility of 1.5 goal 6/ pic.twitter.com/LaPLFFiI4I

Doctors ascertained the possibility of life-threatening blood clots in my hand and recommended an immediate transfer to a hospital. My health is of course paramount. I accepted to leave this wonderful group and was taken to hospital, continuing my hunger strike.8/ pic.twitter.com/FUEUj7wu1b

I mean what this guy expect, really? He’s coming in and screwing up these guys’ place of work and he expects special treatment whilst he conducts his protest? What an absolute melt. Volkswagen don’t owe him anything and he’s majorly messing them about. Get real.
Yeah, again I can get behind their cause but I think if you’re going to protest then you have to at least expect it to be difficult as you’re pissing a whole bunch of people off. Guy just comes across like an entitled woke warrior with this thread. Not really doing their movement any favours.
For more of the same, check out these woke teenagers demanding an apology from Robert Downey Jr for his role in ‘Tropic Thunder’. Grow up.
