It’s not been a great few days for Red Bull boss Christian Horner. First, embarrassing WhatsApp messages he’d been sending to a female employee leaked online on the eve of the new Formula 1 season, and now, Jos Verstappen, father of three-time champion and Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, has publicly called on him to be sacked.
Worse still, Horner is about to be hit with new allegations courtesy of BusinessF1 Magazine, who are set to publish a 19-page investigation into the case in the next few days, which will also name the female employee who Horner was sexting behind wife Geri Halliwell’s back.
There’s also this footage from Sky Italy which appears to show Jos Verstappen giving Christian Horner a talking to, although it’s anyone’s guess what’s actually being said:

Christian Horner and his team have tried really hard to move on from the matter since the WhatsApp messages leaked online, but it doesn’t look like this story is going away any time soon. Especially when you’ve got Jos Verstappen leading the charge and suggesting his son Max could leave Red Bull if Horner stays.
The accuser recently broke her silence on the matter through someone close to her, who said: ‘She’s very unhappy – of course. In her way of thinking it’s all very one-sided and she’s been crucified.’
According to The Times, the BusinessF1 report already leaked online over the weekend and featured a ‘series of damaging new allegations’ as well as the identity of his accuser, but Red Bull have dismissed the leak as ‘full of inaccuracies’, so best not to get into it until everything is official, which will be soon enough from the sounds of it.
Seems Red Bull (and Geri Halliwell) are happy to stick by Christian Horner for the time being, but I guess his future will depend on how much more embarrassing the situation gets in the coming days/weeks. Never forget:
