I think it’s fair to say that the first trailer to ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ didn’t really give us any idea what the movie was about, other than that a few of the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ would be showing up in it, but this new one is revealing a bit more of the plot and crucially also introduces Christian Bale’s character  Gorr The God Butcher.

And let me tell you, Gorr The God Butcher looks like an absolute freak right here and has made me anticipate the movie way more than I had previously. Check out the trailer below as well as what director Taika Waititi had to say about it underneath that:

It’s sort of like a midlife crisis film, really.

That’s the question we ask everyone: Are we doing the right thing, and are we doing all we can in the world?

I think right now, while the world is still healing from this pandemic, it’s a good question to ask.

It’s like, well, are we doing enough to look after each other and to look after ourselves?

Well that looks like a completely different movie compared to the first trailer doesn’t it? The Guardians aren’t even in it and it clearly seems to revolve around Asgard and Thor’s reunion with a now Thor herself Jane Foster more than the space adventures we thought we might have been embarking on. It also looks like it’s going to be really stupid as well – especially that last scene – but given how fun ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ was that doesn’t really bother me. Will check this out in July.
