So this guy posted a video on his YouTube channel DapengPrank recently, whereby he pretends to grab a young boy on the streets of China, cover his face with chloroform and kidnap him to see if anyone steps in to help. Just to reiterate, there was no actual chloroform involved and it was all just a social experiment.

The point of it was to highlight the fact that each year hundreds of thousands of children go missing in China and only 1 in every 100 actually gets found. This is obviously a shocking figure, but when you see how people react to seeing a young boy quite violently get chased and taken away, you understand how this is such a common occurrence.
Seriously, the bystanders barely even flinch — a couple of them even laugh. It’s pretty shocking. Check it out:
