I’m not really familiar with the diet of tigers that are kept in captivity in zoos, but I’m fairly certain that the majority of them aren’t handed live donkeys to eat in front of the tourists visiting the zoo.

This is apparently the case at Yancheng Wild Animal World in Changzhou in Jiangsu province, China though judging by the video below. In it, the zookeepers herd a wild donkey into the tiger enclosure and sit back and watch the tigers devour it. Really quite graphic, shocking and upsetting footage below:

Man. That donkey got devoured. RIP.
The zookeepers argue that the tigers need to kill live animals as it’s ‘good for their health’, but like I said I don’t hear about other zoos following the same practices. Pretty sure their videos would have gone viral on social media a long time ago if that was actually the case. Really kind of disturbed that this sort of thing is going on – hope the outcry on social media can actually bring it to a halt, but I’m not so sure.
