Everybody knows the story of Ian Huntley and the two girls that he murdered in Soham in 2005 and everyone presumed he would spend the rest of his life behind bars after receiving two life sentences for his actions back in 2005.

This might not be right though as Huntley is now apparently going around bragging that he could be released in as little as three years time. He’s claiming that he’s a reformed character after he attended a number of self help classes and hopes that this will lead to his early release.
Here’s what a source told The Daily Star:
Huntley sees himself as a reformed character and has been complaining about his 40-year sentence.
He has been banging on about it to fellow inmates and some of the prison guards.
Huntley has been telling people he is a different person and believes he should be allowed to apply for parole after serving 18 years – which isn’t even half his sentence.
He also believes he should be sent to a lower prison category.
Well I don’t know if this is actually something that’s going to happen – and I feel like it would be pretty strongly opposed by everyone in this country if it were – but it sounds from that source like Huntley is pretty serious about trying to get out and applying parole. I really can’t see it happening given the nature and publicity surrounding his crimes though. Think we can sleep easy on this one.
For more on Ian Huntley, remember when there were rumours he had requested a sex change? That was a bit of a weird one.
