The world was rocked a few weeks ago when it was announced that Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington had hung himself in his California home after a long battle with depression.

Obviously his family were the ones most deeply affected by Chester’s decision to end his life, but his wife Talinda Bennington is doing her best in the days since his death to try and raise awareness of the dangers of depression and how it can be easily hidden by those suffering from it. Over the weekend, Talinda uploaded a deep personal video to her own Twitter account taken just days before Chester’s suicide, showing him laughing and playing with his family like he doesn’t have a care in the world:
My next tweet is the most personal tweet I have ever done. I'm showing this so that you know that depression doesn't have a face or a mood.

Yeah, that’s kinda tough to watch when you know what he ended up doing a couple of days later, but I suppose like Talinda says, it’s important to share videos like that to raise awareness about the fact that depression doesn’t have a specific mood or face and that anyone you know who is acting normal could be affected by it. Stay aware.
