Raushan Hammond
Raushan played Thud Butt in Hook and was one of the most memorable characters in Hook, using his giant butt to beat up pirates like it was going out of style. He became the leader of The Lost Boys following Rufio’s death at the end of the movie and presumably rolled around on his fat ass for the rest of time.
In real life though, Raushan lost a bit of weight and became a magician. Despite being nominated for a bunch of awards like the Young Artist Award For Actors Under 10 for his work in Hook, he didn’t get much other work in the 90s, being limited to guest roles in ER, Hangin’ With Mr Cooper and Tales From The Crypt, which are all obviously excellent, excellent TV shows. Despite this mild success, he obviously wasn’t cut out for showbiz and turned to magic instead.
And who can blame him? Guys like Criss Angel are super cool and get all the bucks and all the chicks, although it doesn’t look like it turned out that way for old Thud Butt. Bizarrely, in 20011 TMZ reported that Raushan started an online dating profile on plentyoffish.com in an effort to hook up with girls, utilising his fame as best he can. That’s scraping the barrel even for TMZ huh, although his opening line probably is worth talking about: ‘Most know me as starring in a film called “HOOK” as the chubby lost boy who turns into pan at the end’. Stud.
If you’re so inclined you can watch one of his ‘music and magic shows’ below, although it also includes clips from all his roles ever for some reason.
