Elijah and Skilliam’s party concept Jamz will host grime’s first ever daytime roller disco at the one of East London’s newer warehouse spaces, Shapes in Hackney Wick. After a year of touring the Jamz open-music policy to clubs in London, Leeds and Berlin it now turns its attention to a 12-hour daytime session that features some of the grime scene’s brightest talents in an alfresco location.
Joining Elijah and Skilliam on deck duties will be fellow Butterz members funk-wizard Swindle, bass conductor Royal-T and rapidly rising garage act Flava D. Rounding things off will be Rinse FM mainstay Spyro, bootleg king Spooky, Gobstopper records frontman Mr. Mitch whilst Last Japan and Parris will also be adding a much-welcomed injection of fresh dubplates to the equation.
Overlooking the River Lea, Shapes has a large outdoor terrace that will host a variety of food and drink stalls to give some much needed respite for weary legs and if you’re not the skating type you can still enjoy the day and music outside.
